My journey as an artist started at a young age, as an art enthusiast and then to a passionate hobbyist where I rediscovered my love for drawing in adulthood. Art was one of my chosen subjects in high school and I made the transition from admiring the art of peers to learning how to create my own beautiful pieces. Pencils were always my favourite medium and they are reflective of the intimate and personal touch I want to impart in my creations. Despite the detour away from art after leaving education into the professional worlds of banking and telecommunications, the spark for art never dimmed, manifesting in spontaneous sketches whenever the opportunity arose.

I made the decision to leave full-time work and dedicate myself to family and personal interests and marked a significant turning point in my life. It was a period of rediscovery, not just of the time and space to pursue various creative hobbies, but also of a deeper connection to art that perhaps had laid dormant during the years consumed by professional obligations. I then found inspiration from a friend's drawings of dogs which was a testament to the power of art to connect, inspire, and reignite passion. It's fascinating how a simple act of sharing one's creations can have such a profound impact on another's artistic journey.

I then took the bold step to join the Bonny Snowdon Academy in April 2023, which not just honed my skills but also embraced a community of like-minded individuals. The Academy, known for its focus on detailed and realistic pencil drawings, offers an ideal environment to flourish and delve deeper into the nuances of drawing that I have always been drawn to. This new chapter in my artistic journey is not just about learning techniques and skills; it's about reconnecting with my passion, exploring my potential, and expressing myself through the timeless medium of pencil drawings. 

I have learnt that it is never too late to pursue your passions and that the journey of art is an ever-evolving path of discovery, growth, and fulfilment.
